Your Webex account can be configured with your Rowan phone number so that you can call anyone with a phone number through the Webex App.

Please visit the Rowan Support Portal to submit a request to enable your phone number to work in the Webex App!

Once your phone extension has been enabled for use in Webex, you must connect it within the Webex App. 

 

To connect your Rowan phone in the Webex App:  

  1. Select your initials, or profile picture, at the top left corner of the Webex App.

  2. Choose Sign Out

  3. Sign Back into Webex
  4. Select your initials at the top left corner of the Webex App. 



  5. Select Settings in Windows, iOS, and Android / Preferences in macOS



  6. Go to phone settings
    1. Windows & Mac:  Select Phone Service from the Webex Options window. The menu is on the left side in Windows and across the top in macOS. (If you do not see the Phone Service option, sign out of Webex and sign back in (see step 1).)
    2. Mobile:  Select Calling, then Phone Services

  7. Enter your Rowan username and password and select Sign in.

NOTE: If you are currently using phone services in Webex on another device you will get an error message. Select Sign in to transfer your phone service to Webex.


5. The status of your phone service and voicemail service should now say "connected."


6. Select Save.

7. You can now start using your phone line in Webex

 

How to use calling in Webex

Troubleshooting

  1. If you are receiving an error such as "Can't connect to phone service"
    1. Please follow the instructions above to sign out and sign back in.
    2. If signing out and signing back in do not resolve your issue
      1.  Select your initials, or profile picture, at the top left corner of the Webex App
      2. Go to Help and select Health Checker
      3. Click on Reset at the bottom of the screen
      4. Log back into Webex
  2. If you are receiving an error such as "Phone Service Disconnected. You're not enabled to use Phone Service."
    1. Please fill out the form to request Webex Calling to be enabled
